this is a cropped image of the largest painting I’ve done; it was a labor of love. I started and completed it in the months prior to my dad’s passing. I wanted to create a visual representation—an altar—of honor, remembrance, and strength. I named it “the last vigil”, and only weeks later mom and I found ourselves sitting vigil by my dad’s side.
